Learning Objectives:

  1. Educate students on IBC and ACI 318 requirements for PA Special Inspection
  2. Instruct students in the installation and inspection of all commonly used post-installed anchor types
  3. Understand load-testing of post-installed anchors
  4. To prepare students to apply for their WABO PA license

Course Schedule:
This one-day seminar will cover Special Inspection requirements for Proprietary Anchor installation. Installation of post-installed adhesive and mechanical anchors is required to have Special Inspection per International Building Code. The Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) offers a Proprietary Anchors (PA) Special Inspection certification. This course and instructor offered by the NWCEL has been approved by WABO to meet this requirement.

Instructor:  Jeremy Christensen is an ICC and WABO certified Special Inspector with over 24 years of experience in inspection and testing. Mr. Christensen began his career in Alaska as a lab technician and eventually become a Special Inspector. Mr. Christensen has worked as a Special Inspector in AK, ID, ND, MT, UT and WA and has been involved in nearly all aspects of construction being employed by materials suppliers, general contractors, materials laboratories, project consultants/management and engineering firms. He holds several industry certifications from ICC, ACI, WABO, WAQTC, PTI, AGC, PCI and NRMCA. Mr. Christensen has been an ACI Field Technician Grade I examiner, WAQTC proctor, Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety instructor and technical seminar presenter at AGC, NRMCA and World of Concrete training sessions.
